Rated as the best
whole-house filtration system, the HEPA 600 series utilizes
the patented by-pass design to attach to any forced air
ducted heating/cooling system up to 5 tons. It can be used
with up-flow, down-flow, attic or crawl space system and
even in a stand-alone configuration. It can be mounted
horizontally or vertically. The HEPA 600HS home air filter
unit is attached to the return-air side of the
heating/cooling system in a by-pass configuration.
The powerful 1/3 HP blow pulls over 600 CFM of air through
the pre-filter, carbon and HEPA filter. The by-pass
configuration will handle 40% to 60% or more of the air
through the heating/cooling system at any time. This allows
for up to 48 air changes per 24 hours for most homes. And
even in the by-pass configuration, the HEPA 600HS home air
purifier systems have proven to be more efficient in
removing respirable size particles than any in-line air
purifier currently on the market. |

The most
common outdoor allergen is pollen. When you install the HEPA
600HS you have the option of connecting an
outdoor-air-intake to it. If possible you should do this.
When competed, when you run the HEPA600HS it is like opening
a window for fresh air without getting any pollen inside.
An outdoor air-intake is essentially a like dyer duct that
goes to the outside. It connects to the intake of the
filter. This way outdoor air is filtered before you breathe
it. This configuration is highly recommended for those with
allergies. It allows you to get both filtered air and fresh
air ventilation!
