You can monitor timer status, filter life status and fan speed
from the HealthPro Plus's LCD display . The computer tells you
when filters need to be changed. The unit can also be
programmed to turn on and off at certain times. |

The HealthPro's remote control can turn the unit on and off,
select fan speeds, as well as set on and off timers. While we
don't necessarily view a remote control as necessary, it is a
nice convenience option. Batteries are included. |

How
do the IQAir HealthPro Plus’s Filters Work? |
|
|
|

The
IQAir HealthPro Plus has a pre-filter, a V5-Cell Gas Phase
Filter and a HEPA filter. The pre-filter lasts 6 to 18 months.
This is the most robust pre-filter used and it will
assuredly prolong the life of both the V5-Cell Gas Phase Filter
and the HEPA filter resulting in lower filter replacement cost
over time.
The V5-Cell Gas Phase Filter has 5 lbs of activated carbon and
alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate. This filter is
very effective at eliminating odors, gaseous pollutants and volatile organic compounds
(VOC’s) from
cleaning agents and building materials found in your home’s
air including formaldehyde and musty odors due to mold spores.
The V5-Cell Gas Phase Filter lasts 1-2 years. |

| The
completely sealed HyperHEPA Filter in the HealthPro Plus
thoroughly filters 99.97% of all particles 0.3 microns and
larger and 99.5% of all particles smaller than 0.3 microns. The HyperHEPA filter
lasts 2-4 years. Unlike other HEPA filters, the HealthPro Plus's
system is completely sealed. For example, if 1 million particles
were drawn through the HealthPro Air Purifier, less than 300
particles would escape. |

Actual,
Not Just Theoretical Efficiency
|

|
Efficiency statements of many air cleaners look impressive at
first glance. Air cleaners with HEPA (High Efficiency
Particulate Arrestance) filters often advertise efficiencies of
99.97% for particles of 0.3 microns (that's about 240 times
smaller than the width of a human hair) and larger. However,
these claims are based on the theoretical efficiency of the HEPA
filter material used and not the actual clean air produced by
the air cleaner. System leakage, inferior design and construction
and poor quality control can
reduce the actual efficiency of HEPA air cleaners to less than
50%.
The IQAir Health Pro is so efficient in removing particles than
even sophisticated equipment, using laser technology will find
virtually no particles in the Health Pro's air exhaust.
In the Swiss IQAir production facility, only the finest
components and great attention to detail are used to build each
IQAir system (much like a fine Swiss watch). while many air
cleaner manufactures buy their filters from mass-market
suppliers, IQAir builds each and every filter in-house to ensure

Before an air cleaner is allowed to leave the Swiss factory,
it has to go through a grueling performance test to ensure that
it meets the published specifications.
In an industry where many air purifiers do not meet their
manufacturers’ claims, IQAir tests and certifies each and
every IQAir system in their Swiss production facility. Each unit
is tested for particle filtration efficiency, filter leakage and
air delivery. Each unit is also issued with its unique
Certificate of Performance, detailing the test results for that
very machine.
We guarantee that every HealthPro captures and retains at
least 99.97% off all particles equal to or les than 0.3 micron
and 99.95% of all smaller than 0.3 microns. Our efficiency
guarantee even applies to particles the size of a viruses,
usually some 30 times smaller than 0.3 micron. |
